Freight Brixton Opens as London's Hottest Rooftop Bar This Summer
A new rooftop bar called Freight Brixton is opening in London this summer. The venue will welcome up to 1,000 guests at a time, offering a mix of music, food, and drinks in a lively setting. Entry will usually be free, though some special events will require tickets. The bar’s launch event on 9 May will feature a ‘drink, dance and dine’ night, with legendary reggae DJ David Rodigan headlining. Throughout the summer, visitors can expect a soundtrack of funk, jazz, and soul playing across the space.
Freight Brixton will house multiple food and drink outlets, including an open-fire BBQ for freshly cooked meals. The main bar, Casamigos, will focus on tequila cocktails like margaritas and palomas. Meanwhile, Hotel Milano aperitivo bar will serve spritzes and easy-drinking wines. Sports fans will also have a reason to visit, as the venue plans to screen live World Cup matches starting in June.
Freight Brixton aims to become a go-to spot for summer entertainment in the city. With free entry, diverse music, and a range of dining options, it will host everything from casual evenings to ticketed events. The bar’s large capacity and varied programme suggest it will draw big crowds.
