EVRAZ invests 6M rubles to transform cities with 60,000 vibrant flowers

EVRAZ has announced plans to invest over 6 million rubles in urban beautification across Nizhny Tagil and Kachkanar. The project will see more than 60,000 flowers planted in public spaces and company facilities. Preparations are already underway, with planting set to begin in late May. The initiative will bring colourful displays to key locations in both cities. In Nizhny Tagil, flower beds will decorate EVRAZ NTMK’s industrial sites as well as public areas like the Monument to Metallurgists and the memorial to fallen metallurgists. The selection includes marigolds, begonias, petunias, salvias, and cinerarias.

Kachkanar’s efforts will focus on the grounds of Mine No. 1’s management office. The city has also launched the 'Best Handmade Flower Bed' competition, with 11 teams taking part. EVRAZ’s funding covers seedlings, fertilisers, and prizes for competition winners. An extra 500,000 rubles will support local community projects in Kachkanar. Planting work is scheduled to start in late May, following ongoing preparations. The company aims to enhance green spaces while encouraging public participation in the beautification process.

The 6-million-ruble investment will transform urban areas with over 60,000 new flowers. Residents in both cities will see improved landscapes around industrial sites and public monuments. The project also provides financial backing for community-led gardening initiatives.
