Elban's 90th Anniversary Sparks Creative Contests for Residents

Elban is marking its 90th anniversary this year with a series of creative contests for residents. Two main initiatives—'Armchair Excursion' and 'History. Events. People'—offer different ways to celebrate the settlement’s history. Each campaign has its own rules and deadlines for submissions. The 'Armchair Excursion' contest invites participants to create a video tour of Elban. Along with the video, applicants must fill out an entry form. The closing date for this competition is October 1.

The second initiative, 'History. Events. People', focuses on short stories. Submissions should highlight a person, organisation, or event linked to Elban. Each entry must be no longer than 300 characters. This campaign runs until December 1. Residents can also contribute by designing a new logo for the settlement or leading a virtual tour. The activities aim to engage the community in celebrating Elban’s founding.

The contests provide multiple ways for locals to share their connection to Elban. Video tours, short stories, and logo designs will all form part of the anniversary celebrations. Winners and selected entries will be announced after the respective deadlines in October and December.
