Burien and Normandy Park host joint spring recycling event May 30

Burien and Normandy Park are teaming up for their annual spring recycling event. This year’s gathering will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, offering residents a chance to dispose of unwanted items responsibly. The event is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organisers have chosen the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Center as the venue. The address for drop-offs is 19010 1st Ave South, Burien, WA 98148.

Residents from both cities can bring recyclables, electronics, and other approved materials. The service aims to reduce landfill waste while promoting sustainable practices in the community.

The recycling initiative provides a free and convenient way for locals to declutter their homes. Items collected will be processed or repurposed where possible. Organisers encourage early arrival to avoid long queues later in the day.
