A 10,000-square-foot, five-bedroom home in Medina has undergone a stunning transformation, courtesy of Studio M Interiors. The design firm, based in Plymouth, partnered with Excelsior's leading builder, Hendel Homes, to give the residence a fresh, eclectic, and modern look.
Annie Graunke, owner and designer of Studio M Interiors, took on the challenge of updating the 1990s-built home, which previously felt dated with its cavernous, white spaces and cherry woodwork. The result is a dazzling blend of contemporary design and unique features.
The lower level now boasts a wellness center, complete with a custom sauna, steam shower, yoga studio, and a custom sport court. Upstairs, the light-filled sunroom showcases shiplapped walls, a Holly Hunt wallpaper ceiling, and a Currey & Company light fixture. A swanky little lounge with a charcoal gray enameled bar was added on the main level for entertaining. The great room, despite its massive ceiling height, feels cozy thanks to custom light fixtures and wallpaper panels. The study is a standout space, featuring floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, a secret room, and a sputnik-style light fixture. The kitchen, crafted in partnership with Hendel Homes, is a showstopper with its teal-colored BlueStar range and palm-patterned tile backsplash.
The newly married couple's dream home is now a perfect blend of modern design and personalized touches. Studio M Interiors and Hendel Homes have successfully turned a dated space into a stunning, eclectic retreat.
