Russia's Garden of Memory Honors Fallen Heroes with 27 Million Trees

Employees from Khabarovskenergosbyt have taken part in a nationwide eco-patriotic campaign called Garden of Memory. The event honoured fallen Heroes of Russia who served in the special military operation. Trees were planted as a tribute to their sacrifice and bravery. The campaign took place at the Pacific Fleet’s Red Banner Order of Kutuzov District Training Center. This site is named after Vasily Petrov, a Soviet Marshal and Hero of the Soviet Union. Participants began by visiting key locations within the centre, including the Pacific Division Combat History Museum, the Chapel of St. George the Victorious, and the Memory Alley.

During the event, Khabarovskenergosbyt staff planted maple and coniferous trees. Georgy Makarov, director of the local DGC branch, explained that the initiative aims to preserve the memory of fallen heroes. He also stressed the importance of fostering respect for their courage. The *Garden of Memory* campaign has a broader goal: to plant 27 million trees each year. These trees serve as a living memorial to defenders of the Motherland who gave their lives in service.

The newly planted trees at the training centre now stand as a lasting tribute. The campaign continues to expand, with similar events planned across the country. Each tree represents a fallen hero and reinforces the nation’s commitment to remembering their sacrifice.
