Hai'an's blooming rose fields draw 30,000 visitors in weeks

Hai'an, in East China’s Jiangsu Province, has become a hub for rose cultivation. The local government has pushed to grow the industry while also boosting agrotourism. A new flower-themed tourist site recently opened to the public, drawing large crowds since its launch. The tourist site officially welcomed visitors on February 15, 2026. Known for its vast rose fields, Hai'an has long been a key area for flower farming. Authorities have worked to turn this agricultural strength into a draw for tourists.

By March 9, 2026, the site had already attracted more than 30,000 visitors. The combination of blooming roses and organised attractions has proven popular. Efforts to link farming with tourism appear to be paying off.

The rise in visitor numbers highlights the success of Hai'an’s agrotourism push. The flower-themed site continues to bring in crowds, supporting both local farming and the wider economy. Officials plan to maintain this momentum in the coming months.
