Gifhorn's 32nd Summer Holiday Fun Brings 66 Adventures for Kids

Gifhorn’s annual Summer Holiday Fun program returns for its 32nd year, offering 66 activities for children aged six and older. Running from July 2 to August 12, the event promises a mix of adventure, creativity, and outdoor fun for families across the region. The program kicks off with the Kinder aus ALLER-Welten week from July 6 to 10. This themed week will close with a children’s theatre performance on July 10. Alongside this, families can look forward to excursions, including trips to Heide Park Soltau, Pullman City Western Town, and Serengeti Park.

Sports and outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy, with activities like canoeing at Irenensee Lake in Uetze, gliding, and water skiing. A dedicated holiday week at Allerwelle swimming pool is also part of the lineup. For those preferring hands-on experiences, creative workshops include a three-day pottery course and an international cooking studio. Bookings for all activities will open on June 23, managed through a lottery system to ensure fair access. The full schedule, detailing every event, will be published online from May 27 at [www.unser-ferienprogramm.de/gifhorn](http://www.unser-ferienprogramm.de/gifhorn). The FBZ Grille youth centre, which organises the program, has coordinated the event since its launch three decades ago.

The Summer Holiday Fun program provides a wide range of activities, from adventure trips to creative workshops, for children throughout the summer. Families can plan their participation once the schedule goes live later this month, with bookings opening in late June.
