Mumbai's Light-Filled Triplex Redefines Open-Living Design

A Mumbai triplex designed by RC Design Studio brings together open spaces and careful detail. Partners Roozmehr Bardolivala and Cherag Bardolivala shaped the home to feel both airy and connected. The result is a residence built around light, movement, and daily life. The triplex was planned to encourage flow and natural brightness. Downstairs, shared areas feel spacious and welcoming, while upstairs rooms take on a more intimate, subdued mood. This contrast creates a balanced atmosphere throughout the home.

Pale Lhasa White marble floors and warm oak finishes tie the spaces together. These materials appear in every area, ensuring a smooth visual transition from one room to the next. The designers focused on how people move through the home, making sure each space feels linked despite the triplex’s size. RC Design Studio aimed for a relaxed, social feel—almost like an extended aperitif hour. The layout supports both lively gatherings and quiet moments, adapting to the rhythms of everyday living.

The triplex now stands as a thoughtful blend of openness and warmth. Its design choices, from marble flooring to oak accents, reinforce a sense of unity. The home’s flow and lighting reflect the studio’s emphasis on practical elegance.
