Nikolayevsk-on-Amur Builds Modern Wooden Apartments for Relocated Families

Construction of a multi-unit wooden apartment building is underway in Nikolayevsk-on-Amur, intended to relocate local residents from dilapidated housing, reports the Khabarovsk Krai Today news agency.

The first three log courses have already been laid along the foundation perimeter at 47 Sovetskaya Street. Work, which began in the first half of April, is now in full swing.

As previously reported by our agency, Nikolayevsk-on-Amur has launched an innovative production facility—a workshop manufacturing prefabricated wooden home kits. These kits enable the rapid construction of low-rise, twelve-unit residential buildings.

Priority in housing construction for residents living under social tenancy agreements will be given to buildings made from local materials—particularly wood, a crucial advantage.

Modern, two-story, fully equipped homes will account for 10% of all housing built under this regional program.

The unique technology behind these prefabricated kits ensures the homes are warm, sturdy, and built to last.
