Join Burien's Scenic Walk-n-Talk from Hilltop to Seahurst Beach
A free Walk-n-Talk event will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 2 p.m. Participants will meet near 13200 Shorewood Dr. SW in Burien, Washington, before setting off on a scenic route through nature and down to the coast. The walk begins at the top of a hill and follows a path down to Seahurst Beach. Along the way, participants can spot seasonal plants like skunk cabbage, nettles, and spring greens. The descent takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes.
Once at the beach, walkers will have time to relax before heading back up. They can choose between two return routes: a road option taking 20 to 30 minutes or a trail route that may take 30 minutes or longer.
Organisers have noted that parking at the site is limited. They encourage attendees to carpool where possible to ease congestion. The event offers a chance to explore local nature while enjoying a guided walk. Participants can expect a mix of woodland and coastal scenery, with flexible return options. Those planning to attend should arrive early to secure parking or arrange shared transport.
