Free Exhibition Showcases Fairy-Tale Coins in Syktyvkar's Library No. 13

A new photo exhibition called Journey into Childhood has opened at Library No. 13 in Syktyvkar. Visitors can explore a collection of commemorative coins featuring beloved fairy-tale, book, and cartoon characters. The display is free to attend and runs until June 15. The exhibition is hosted at 115 Pushkin Street and remains open during the library’s regular hours. Organised by the Bank of Russia’s Komi Republic branch, it highlights coins as tiny masterpieces. Techniques like colour lacquer printing, laser engraving, and selective gilding bring each piece to life.

Among the displayed coins are familiar figures such as Ded Moroz, Winnie the Pooh, and Crocodile Gena. Others include Cheburashka, the Barboskins, and Masha and the Bear. Each design captures the charm of childhood stories in intricate detail.

The exhibition offers a chance to see these artistic coins up close without any admission fee. It will continue welcoming visitors until mid-June. The library provides a space for both nostalgia and appreciation of craftsmanship.
