Four-Year-Old Kazakh Boy Stuns with Perfect Poetry Recitals

A four-year-old boy from Uralsk has become a local star for his love of poetry. Muhammad-Ali Bekmyrzayev recites Kazakh poems by heart, surprising family and friends with his skill. His passion for reading comes from a family tradition of storytelling and books. Muhammad-Ali has memorised around twenty Kazakh poems, from folk tales to children’s verses. He performs them with confidence, often leaving even adults impressed. His father, Lieutenant Colonel Kudaibergen Bekmyrzayev, heads the medical department of the Batys regional command and believes these activities keep his son away from too much screen time.

The boy is one of five siblings—his older brothers and sisters attend school, while the youngest is in kindergarten. Storytelling and reading have always been part of their home life. Fairy tales and books filled Muhammad-Ali’s early years, shaping his love for words and performance.

Muhammad-Ali’s talent has made him stand out among relatives and neighbours. His ability to recite poetry from memory reflects both his dedication and the family’s encouragement. The tradition of reading and storytelling continues to inspire him daily.
