Berlin's Long Day of Urban Nature returns with 500+ free and ticketed activities
Berlin’s Long Day of Urban Nature returns this weekend with over 500 outdoor activities. The event, organised by the Foundation for Nature Conservation Berlin, will take place across all boroughs on Saturday and Sunday. Families, children, and nature lovers can explore guided walks, workshops, and wildlife tours throughout the city. Activities include bat-watching tours at dusk, birdwatching sessions, and guided frog walks in local wetlands. For those interested in hands-on experiences, woodland whittling workshops and neighbourhood plant walks are also on offer. Some events will feature sign language interpretation to ensure accessibility.
Tickets must be bought in advance online. Adults pay €5 per event, while children under 14 enter for free. Discounted tickets are available for €2. A full programme, including event locations and times, can be found on the official website. The initiative is supported by Berlin’s Governing Mayor Kai Wegner (CDU), who serves as patron. With around 150 locations participating, the event aims to connect residents with the city’s green spaces and wildlife.
The Long Day of Urban Nature provides a mix of educational and recreational activities for all ages. Tickets are required for most events, with options for reduced prices and free entry for young attendees. Organisers have prepared a detailed online programme to help visitors plan their weekend.
