Dawn of the North exhibition celebrates young artists in Magadan

The Dawn of the North (0+) arts and crafts exhibition and competition has opened at the Eureka Children and Youth Center (a supplementary education institution), featuring works by students aged 7 to 17, as well as the center's instructors.

The event aims to foster interest among young participants in the history, culture, traditions, and daily life of the Indigenous peoples of the North.

Over 80 unique pieces are on display for the jury's consideration. The artists have depicted the people of the North in traditional clothing, the animals and birds of the tundra and taiga, scenes of reindeer herding and fishing, traditional dwellings, ornate patterns, and the diverse beauty of northern nature.

Competition categories include: - Sculpture and Compositions from Natural Materials - Textile Traditions (sewing and embroidery) - Northern Appliqué

A professional jury will evaluate the entries. The awards ceremony and announcement of winners will take place on April 30.

The Dawn of the North exhibition will remain open until May 5 at the Eureka Supplementary Education Center, located at 9A Kolyskaya Street, Magadan. For inquiries, call 64-14-80.
