Want a Bountiful Cucumber Harvest? Here's a Chemical-Free Fertilizer Tip from Dacha, Garden, and Vegetable Patch

Stale Bread and Iodine Spray Doubles Cucumber Harvests Naturally

You'll need a bucket of clean water and a stale loaf of bread. In the evening, soak the bread in the water and leave it overnight. In the morning, mash the softened bread and mix it thoroughly into the water.

Next, add one small bottle of pharmacy-grade iodine to the bread-infused water, stir again, and let the mixture sit until the crumbs settle at the bottom.

Pour the liquid into a spray bottle and apply it to your cucumber plants, focusing on the leaves and developing fruit.

If you use this spray every two weeks, your cucumber harvest will be exceptionally abundant, and the vines will stay vibrant green until the first cold snap.

This simple, chemical-free fertilizer is an eco-friendly way to boost your crop. Store any leftover mixture in a cool place for future use.
