Soligen's Botanical Garden Hosts 15th Annual Bulb Day for Flower Lovers

The Botanical Garden Foundation in Soligen is hosting its 15th Bulb Day on Sunday, May 10. Visitors are invited to dig up and take home flower bulbs in exchange for a donation. The event runs from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and supports the garden’s summer planting preparations. During the event, participants can collect tulip, hyacinth, daffodil, and crown imperial bulbs from the seasonal flowerbed near the pergola. The garden encourages visitors to bring their own gardening tools, along with bags or baskets for carrying the bulbs home.

Admission is free, though donations to the Botanical Garden are welcome. Alongside bulb digging, the kiosk will offer refreshments, and the greenhouse exhibits will remain open for exploration. The event helps clear space for new summer plantings while giving the community a chance to take home flowers for their own gardens.

Bulb Day provides an opportunity for the public to contribute to the garden’s upkeep while enjoying a hands-on activity. The collected donations will assist in maintaining the Botanical Garden’s displays and facilities. The event runs until 6:00 PM, with all activities centred around the pergola area.
