Nakhodka's New Octopus Path Trail Nears Completion Along Scenic Bays
A new 6.2-kilometre tourist trail, named The Octopus Path, is almost ready in Nakhodka. The scenic route winds along the coast of Transparent, Otrada, and Kozina bays, offering visitors a mix of natural beauty and modern amenities.
Primorsky Krai Governor Oleg Kozhemyako recently inspected the site, walking part of the trail to review its progress. The Octopus Path includes several multifunctional viewing platforms with distinctive names. Among them are Secret Trail, Tea Hut, Palm, Dragon’s Tongue, In the Grass’s Shade, Coin, In the Shadow, Steps, and Traveler’s Tower. These spots provide rest areas and panoramic views of the surrounding bays.
Alongside the platforms, the trail features navigational signs and informational displays. These highlight the local flora and fauna of Primorsky Krai, giving visitors insight into the region’s natural environment. Landscaping and finishing touches are now in their final stages.
Meanwhile, construction has begun on a bicycle rental pavilion at the end of University Avenue on Russky Island. The pavilion’s metal framework is nearly complete, and it will connect to the bike trail opened last year. This addition aims to expand cycling options for tourists exploring the area. The Octopus Path will soon open as a key attraction in Nakhodka. Its viewing platforms, educational displays, and nearby cycling facilities are designed to enhance the visitor experience. The project reflects ongoing efforts to develop tourism infrastructure in Primorsky Krai.
