Davao's 2026 trade expos aim to drive ₱350M in investment and innovation
Three major trade expos will take place in Davao from May 7 to 10, 2026, aiming to boost local investment and business growth. The events—the Philippine Building and Construction Exposition (PhilBex), Travel and Leisure Expo Davao (TLEX-Davao), and Manila Foods and Beverages Expo (Mafbex)—will gather over 200 exhibitors at the SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang. Organisers expect the combined expos to generate between ₱300 million and ₱350 million in revenue, surpassing last year’s ₱200 million in sales. The expos will showcase innovations across multiple industries. Visitors can explore artificial intelligence in design, bamboo technology, robotics, new food products, and emerging tourism spots. The events also serve as a networking platform, linking business owners, contractors, engineers, architects, and designers.
Interior designers will have access to specialised sessions led by the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers. They can also connect with industry professionals and discover new materials, including advanced paints and marble. Beyond networking, the expos will feature industry summits, offering learning opportunities for attendees. Organisers anticipate a significant rise in attendance, with 20,000 to 25,000 visitors expected—up from around 15,000 in 2025. Admission remains free, and registration is open at worldbexevent.com. The expos aim to highlight Davao’s economic potential, encouraging national companies to invest in the region.
The 2026 expos will run for four days, combining trade, tourism, and food sectors under one roof. With higher visitor numbers and revenue targets, the events seek to strengthen Davao’s position as a key business and investment hub. Free entry and online registration make the expos accessible to a wide audience.
