Berlin's Tulip Ceremony Strengthens Kazakhstan-Germany Cultural Ties
A tulip-planting ceremony took place in Berlin with representatives from both countries in attendance, our website reports.
The event saw the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture present tulip bulbs to Germany's Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Regional Development. Kazakh Ambassador to Germany Nurlan Onzhanov and German State Secretary Markus Schick participated in the ceremony.
"The timing of this event during Nauryz celebrations gives it special meaning, embodying renewal, harmony, and friendship between our peoples," the Kazakh Foreign Ministry noted in a statement.
German officials highlighted the historical ties between tulips and present-day Kazakhstan, emphasizing that such initiatives help build trust and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Following the formal proceedings, traditional Kazakh music filled the air, fostering an atmosphere of cultural exchange. The ceremony reached its climax with a joint tulip planting—a symbolic gesture of partnership and shared commitment to future growth.
