Vladivostok's giant floral display nears completion with 3,500 pink begonias

A large floral display spelling out 'Vladivostok' is taking shape near the Molodyozhnaya bus stop. The project, led by specialists from Green Vladivostok, will transform the area into a colourful landmark by the end of May. Before planting began, workers prepared the slope by clearing weeds and thinning overgrown shrubs. They mowed the grass, loosened the soil, and readied the area for the new flowers. The team has now started planting 3,500 soft-pink begonia seedlings to form the giant letters.

Near the main inscription, a separate flower bed will showcase the symbol of the current year. Another patterned design will represent the unity of Russia’s peoples. Together, these elements will create a striking floral composition at the city’s entrance. The completed display will greet visitors arriving in Vladivostok. Once finished, the bright pink begonia letters and surrounding patterns will stand out as a key feature of the city’s landscape. The project is set to wrap up before June begins.
