Vladivostok Authorities Select Contractor for Landscaping Near Russia National Center on Sportivnaya Harbor Embankment

City centre's coastal transformation moves ahead with sole bidder's green vision

The starting price for the contract was 315.7 million rubles. The sole bidder in the procurement process proposed completing the work for 314.5 million rubles. The project is commissioned by the municipal institution LAZO.

Under the contract terms, the contractor will plant vegetation along the coastline, install small architectural features, and design the promenade. The work is divided into seven phases, with full completion required by October 14, 2026. The project is fully funded by the institution's budget.

This new phase will continue the Primorsky Urban Taiga concept already being implemented along the embankment. Native tree and shrub species will be planted, and open areas will be maximized for greenery. Residents will gain two large green spaces in the city center, evoking the atmosphere of the Far Eastern forest.

In 2021, the central promenade was landscaped; in 2024, the area near the fountain was improved; and in August 2025, a new section near the branch of the Russia National Center was opened. There, cobblestones were laid, benches and flower beds installed, and fencing replaced. Art installations from the Street of the Far East exhibit at the 2025 Eastern Economic Forum were also relocated to the site.

The landscaping project will preserve the area's unique character, with all work maintaining stylistic consistency with previous phases. The result should reflect Primorsky Krai's natural identity and the historic appearance of central Vladivostok. The winner of the procurement will be announced once the formal process is complete.
