Zurich’s Christmas tree hides a magical stage for school choirs
A giant Christmas tree in Zurich holds a secret stage inside its branches. This festive setup has become the centre of evening performances by local school choirs. Among the singers is 12-year-old Jon, a student at Lake Side School in Küsnacht, who will join his classmates in the unique event.
The unusual tree, standing tall in the city, transforms into a concert space each evening. Crowds have gathered to watch and listen as choirs perform Christmas carols from within its structure. These performances will continue nightly until December 23.
The performances will run every evening until the 23rd of December. Jon and his classmates from Lake Side School will be among the groups sharing holiday music from inside the tree. Their enthusiasm, even in wet conditions, adds to the seasonal cheer for visitors in Zurich.
