Xochimilco's Moonlit Valentine's Voyage Awaits Lovers This February

Xochimilco is hosting a special Valentine's Day event called The Night of Longings. Couples can enjoy a moonlit boat ride along the famous canals aboard a traditional trajinera. The evening includes live music, food, and a chance to float wishes on the water under the stars.

The experience starts at 5:30 PM on 14 February at Embarcadero Salitre. Guests are advised to arrive by 5:15 PM at the dock, located at 1a. Cda. de Embarcadero, San Cristóbal, Xochimilco. Tickets cost 500 pesos per person and can be booked through Event Streak, though spaces are limited.

Once aboard, couples will share a charcuterie board filled with cold cuts and delicacies. As they glide through the canals, they can write down their wishes, place them inside floating lanterns, and release them onto the water. Live music will play in the background, adding to the peaceful atmosphere.

To reach the event, drivers can take Calzada de Tlalpan or Periférico, then head toward San Lorenzo La Cebada before continuing into central Xochimilco. Those using public transport should take Metro Line 2 to Tasqueña and transfer to the Tren Ligero bound for Xochimilco.

The event offers a romantic setting for Valentine's Day, blending tradition with a serene night on the water. Couples will leave with memories of lantern-lit canals, live music, and a shared meal in one of Mexico City's most picturesque locations.
