Workshop on creating forest-in-a-jar and natural soaps, hosted by Sungrow, scheduled for 15th April, 2025.

In an engaging immersion on April 15th, the Sungrow team joined our foundation for an eco-creative workshop. The day was filled with the creation of natural soaps and mini ecosystems in glass jars, a.k.a terrariums, fostering mindfulness, relaxation, and conversations about daily choices' environmental impact.

Crafting Natural Soaps: A Small Step with a Big Environmental Difference

The morning commenced with the art of crafting natural soaps. Employees from Sungrow were introduced to the secrets of handmade soap-making - from selecting natural ingredients to crafting fragrances and colors. Filled with the aromas of essential oils, the tables were adorned with dried flowers, herbs, and natural dyes.

As participants embarked on their creative journeys, unique, fragrant cosmetics took shape. Guided by their tastes and imaginations, each person crafted their own personalized soap, reinforcing an understanding that eco-friendly can be beautiful, efficient, and individualistic. Furthermore, they recognized how many ingredients in traditional cosmetics harm both skin and the environment.

Through the activity, not only creativity flourished, but awareness grew as well. Participants gained a new appreciation for natural soap's ecological advantages compared to commercial products.

Workshop Overview

Typically, workshops of this nature begin with an introduction focusing on the benefits of using natural ingredients, the basics of soap-making chemistry, and the environmental advantages that handmade soaps offer. Attendees then participate in creating their soap, learning to mix oils, water, and lye using guidance. Essential oils, herbs, and natural colorants are added for fragrance and appearance. Finally, participants pour the soap mixture into molds and learn about the curing process.

Workshops often cover eco-friendly packaging and labeling options for handmade gifts or personal use. Daily essentials like these, made with natural materials, are not only practical but can also effect positive change.

The Sungrow team's eco-creative experience demonstrated the potential for individuals to make a difference, one small action at a time.

Embracing the day's activities, the Sungrow team delved into the realm of fashion-and-beauty, learning the art of crafting natural soaps. Adorned with dried flowers, herbs, and natural dyes, the tables bore an alluring aroma of essential oils.

In the realm of home-and-garden, the team also explored the creation of mini ecosystems, or terrariums, promoting a connection with nature and emphasizing the importance of making daily lifestyle choices that are mindful of the environment.
