Woodlawn's Annual Needle Arts Show Unites Global Craft and Historic Homes

Woodlawn is hosting its annual needle arts exhibition, the largest judged show of its kind in the country. Running from March 1 to 30, the event will display hundreds of embroidered pieces by international artists. Visitors can also explore the historic Pope-Leighey House throughout the month.

The exhibition opens daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except on Tuesdays. Alongside the displays, special Needlework Show Tours take place every Friday and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. These guided sessions, led by a Woodlawn representative and a member of Nelly's Needlers, will explore the estate's history and highlight select needlework pieces. Admission to the exhibition is included in the tour price.

For those looking to dine, Nelly's Needlers offers seated meals in the Underwood Room between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Meanwhile, tours of Frank Lloyd Wright's Pope-Leighey House remain available all month, giving visitors a chance to experience both needlework and architectural heritage.

The event brings together global artists and local history in a month-long celebration of needle arts. With guided tours, dining options, and extended access to the Pope-Leighey House, Woodlawn provides a full programme for craft enthusiasts and history lovers alike. The exhibition closes on March 30.
