Wolfsburg’s MusicLab Lets Teens Explore Songwriting and Sound Design for Free

Wolfsburg’s City Library has launched a new weekly programme for young music lovers. Called the MusicLab, it opens every Thursday for children and teens aged 9 to 16. The first session took place on January 13, 2023.

The MusicLab runs from 4 to 6 p.m. in the LibraryLab section. Duarte Coimbra leads the sessions, guiding participants through various creative activities. No prior musical knowledge is required to join.

Young attendees can experiment with recording, songwriting, and radio play production. The programme also covers live recording techniques and post-production sound design. The aim is to give hands-on experience in different aspects of music creation.

The free sessions provide a space for young people to explore music technology and creativity. Open to all skill levels, the MusicLab runs weekly at Wolfsburg’s City Library. The programme continues every Thursday for the foreseeable future.
