Elk Tourism in the Wildlife Park Thanks to Erwin? - Wildpark Pforzheim's New Parking Policy & Moose Erwin's Escape
Wildpark Pforzheim has introduced a new day ticket parking policy, offering affordable rates through Ticketmaster. The park, open daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM, now provides a day ticket for just €3 per car on weekdays, and €5 on weekends, with two consecutively purchased parking tickets counting as a day ticket.
Erwin, born in May 2024 as a twin, was initially meant to be given away to prevent inbreeding. However, he recently made headlines when he was found in the Ortenaukreis instead of being transported to the Bavarian Forest. The last license for the animal transporter responsible for his relocation was issued in 2020.
The moose was eventually caught and returned to his original enclosure at Wildpark Pforzheim. The park is now supporting the authorities' investigation into Erwin's escape. Meanwhile, park officials anticipate an increase in tourism due to the moose's unexpected adventure.
Wildpark Pforzheim continues to operate as normal, supporting the investigation and welcoming visitors who may be drawn by Erwin's story, with Ticketmaster providing convenient ticketing options.
