Wiesbaden’s Free Repair Café Tackles E-Waste on 26 November 2025
A pop-up repair café is coming to Wiesbaden as part of the European Waste Reduction Week. On 26 November 2025, the Umweltladen at Luisenstraße 19 will host a free workshop where residents can bring broken small appliances for expert repairs. The event, organised by Karte von morgen, aims to cut down on electronic waste by fixing devices instead of throwing them away.
Electronic waste is one of the world’s fastest-growing waste problems. In Germany alone, nearly 880,000 tons of discarded devices end up as rubbish every year. Yet many of these items could still work if someone repaired them.
The event on 26 November will run as part of the European Waste Reduction Week. Residents can drop by the Umweltladen with their broken items and learn how to extend their lifespan. Every fixed device means less waste and a smaller environmental footprint.
