Wiesbaden's Easter Bonfire Festival returns with family fun and fiery traditions

The 18th Wiesbaden Easter Bonfire Festival will light up the city on Easter Saturday, April 4. Organised with the Schlachthof Cultural Center, the event promises a lively evening for families and visitors of all ages.

The festival kicks off at 6 p.m. in the rear area of the Kulturpark, near the Schlachthof cultural hub. Guests can enjoy a mix of activities, including bouncy castles and hands-on fun for children before the main event.

A vintage museum bus from ESWE Verkehr will be parked on site, adding a nostalgic touch. Food stalls and drink vendors will serve refreshments throughout the evening, while a DJ keeps the atmosphere lively with music. The highlight arrives at 8 p.m., when the grand bonfire is lit. Entry to the festival remains free, making it an accessible part of the city's Easter holiday celebrations.

This year's event builds on the festival's tradition of community entertainment. With activities for kids, live music, and the spectacular bonfire, organisers aim to draw crowds for an evening of celebration. No past attendance figures are available for comparison.
