Wiesbaden slashes parking fees and offers free transport for Advent weekends

Wiesbaden has cut parking fees in its municipal garages during Advent weekends. Drivers will now pay just €5 per day instead of the usual mortgage rates. The city has also introduced free public transport on all four Advent Saturdays to ease travel for shoppers and visitors.

The reduced parking rates apply across five key locations: Friedrich-Ebert-Allee, Mauritiusgalerie, City II, Theater, and Luisenplatz. Each garage offers a flat daily fee of €5, down from higher standard charges. The Theater garage, for example, normally costs €8 but now matches the discounted price.

The changes mean cheaper parking and free travel for those visiting Wiesbaden’s Christmas events. The city’s decision to lower garage fees and expand transport options aims to make access easier during the busy holiday season. Both measures will remain in place for all four Advent weekends.
