Welcome Back to The Tiny House in Brötzingen!
In the city of Pforzheim, the "Quartier-Werkstatt 2025" initiative seeks to strengthen the bond between city administration and residents by facilitating interaction and cooperation. Following a successful debut last year, this community-focused project will host two events: one in the summer of Brötzingen and another in Dillweißenstein in the fall.
The first event, scheduled from June 23 to July 4, 2025, will take place in the square in front of the city museum in Brötzingen, transforming the area into a creative hub for dialogue and exchange. The primary objective is to bring the city administration closer to the people and encourage involvement from the local populace. The Tiny House, a mobile action and information center, will serve as a focal point for the event, welcoming all interested parties. The program promises a diverse range of activities encompassing urban topics, hands-on workshops, and plenty of opportunities for dialogue.
The Program
Over the course of two weeks, a total of 23 program points will be presented, featuring workshops, information booths, and open discussion rounds. The event will start with a lively opening ceremony hosted by the Smart City department, offering attendees the chance to explore future plans for the Panoramabad on Wartberg using VR goggles, try their luck at a prize wheel, or take home a balloon. The Moki playmobile of the city youth ring will make regular appearances throughout the events, entertaining children with skill games, sports equipment, and digital offerings.
Other attractions include Mayor Peter Boch's appearance as part of his "Mayor on the Spot" initiative, where citizens can ask questions and offer suggestions. The Environmental Protection Office will provide interactive activities focused on helping children support local bee and butterfly populations. The Weststadt Citizens' Association 1906 e.V. will welcome visitors to the Tiny House, providing information about their neighborhood activities.
In addition, representatives from several city departments, like the Job Center, Mobility and Traffic department, Cultural Office, Waste Management, Youth and Social Office, Business Area International, Engagement Europe and City Partnerships with the EUROPE DIRECT Center Karlsruhe, will be present to answer questions and share their offerings. The program will also feature committed associations such as the Kinderschutzbund Pforzheim Enzkreis e.V. and Miteinanderleben e.V., along with partners such as Q-Prints & Service gGmbH, the Climate Protection and Energy Agency Enzkreis Pforzheim (keep GmbH), and the Volunteer Agency Pforzheim. These organizations will offer insights into their work, foster new connections, and encourage collaborative problem-solving.
The detailed program for 2025 will be released in September. Quartier-Werkstatt 2025 is part of Smart City Pforzheim's efforts to foster community engagement, collaboration, and digital inclusion.
