Wednesday Launches Vintage Objects Collection Curated by Prosper Assouline
Wednesday, the luxury lifestyle brand co-founded by Prosper Assouline, has launched a new category of unique finds called Vintage Objects. This collection is a personal curation by Assouline, who believes a library is a sanctuary for ideas, aesthetics, and meaningful vintage objects.
The Vintage Objects collection features an array of vintage items, including sculpted busts, globes, trinket boxes, ashtrays, bookstands, and vintage furniture. Each item is personally selected by Assouline and is tied to the library space. The range of prices for the collection is from $500 to $3,000, with Assouline pricing them based on their history, beauty, and rarity.
Assouline sources these vintage objects from international flea markets, antique stores, auction houses, and smaller intimate stores. Some of his favorite finds include a Niki de Saint Phalle Nana sculpture and a monumental 1930 ebony wood elephant sculpture. He is drawn to eclectic markets where rare and unexpected vintage objects coexist, and loves imagining the stories behind each vintage object.
The Vintage Objects collection is a testament to Assouline's eye for unique and meaningful vintage pieces. Each item is a conversation starter, adding a touch of history and charm to any library space. The collection is now available at Wednesday, priced between $500 and $3,000.
