Waldorf Astoria Unveils the Empire Club, a Luxury Haven for Elite Residents

The Waldorf Astoria has unveiled the Empire Club, an exclusive lounge and business center for residents of its multimillion-dollar private apartments. Open around the clock, the club offers luxury services, curated art, and bespoke hospitality in one of New York’s most iconic buildings. The Empire Club forms part of the hotel’s $2 billion (€1.7 billion) restoration, which introduced 372 private residences over eight years. These apartments range from $1.8 million (€1.5 million) for studios to $18.75 million (nearly €16 million) for four-bedroom units. Residents gain access to roughly 50,000 square feet of exclusive amenities. The club itself features private offices, each named after notable figures from the hotel’s history. A butler’s pantry and full catering kitchen provide complimentary room service at any hour. The art collection inside was curated by two experts: the hotel’s longtime art director, Tony Bechara, and renowned auctioneer Simon de Pury. Their selections include sculptures, paintings, and pieces by emerging artists, adding a cultural touch to the luxurious setting. The Empire Club combines business facilities, fine art, and 24/7 hospitality for Waldorf Astoria residents. With private offices, curated collections, and on-demand dining, it reinforces the hotel’s reputation for high-end living. Access remains limited to those owning one of the building’s premium apartments.
