Volunteers Gathering at Amberg's Volunteer Center: Approximately 170 individuals are assembling at the local volunteering institution
In the heart of Amberg, a thank-you celebration was held at the ACC during the summer festival, honoring the tireless efforts of the city's volunteers and the main and honorary employees of the municipal volunteer agency.
The event, dubbed "Engaged in Amberg," was graced by the presence of several prominent individuals, including Mayor Michael Cerny (CSU), Susanne Augustin (Social Affairs Referent), Martin Reinhardt (Head of the Office for Social Affairs), Elisabeth Triller (Head of the municipal volunteer agency), and representatives from Wohnungsbau and Siedlungswerk Werkvolk eG, namely Wolfgang Erb, Steffen Schulze, Torsten Wolf, and Philipp Kemptner.
The volunteers were praised for their valuable and important contributions, with Martin Reinhardt expressing great respect for their selfless efforts. The thank-you festival featured a joint culinary breakfast and musical accompaniment, making for a delightful atmosphere.
Mayor Cerny acknowledged the significant contributions of all 170 volunteers and the team around Elisabeth Triller. He thanked them for their tireless efforts and valuable support. Elisabeth Triller, in turn, thanked all volunteers for their dedication and highlighted the enormous variety of aid offers and activities provided by the volunteers.
Wolfgang Erb, Steffen Schulze, Torsten Wolf, and Philipp Kemptner, who are affiliated with Wohnungsbau and Siedlungswerk Werkvolk eG, also thanked the volunteers and highlighted the different areas of work of the volunteer agency. They also announced a generous donation of 12,500 euros to the Amberg volunteer agency.
The donation will support the project "Visiting services and shopping assistance" of the volunteer agency. Additionally, eight students from OTH Amberg-Weiden created two image films for the volunteer agency as a school project.
The traditional thank-you celebration for the volunteers was attended by around 80 individuals. The summer festival also received a portion of the donation, receiving 2,500 euros for its organization and implementation.
Sparkasse Amberg-Sulzbach also extended their gratitude to the volunteers, donating 10,000 euros to the cause. The chairperson and representatives from the donor institution expressed their appreciation for the volunteers' dedication and highlighted the importance of community engagement.
The volunteers and main and honorary employees of the municipal volunteer agency left the thank-you festival with a renewed sense of purpose and appreciation for their contributions to the community. The event served as a reminder of the vital role volunteers play in Amberg and the gratitude they inspire in those they help.
