Vienna's new monthly pool pass makes summer swimming more affordable
Vienna's public swimming pools are rolling out a new monthly pass just in time for the summer season. The offer starts on May 2 and covers both indoor and outdoor facilities across the city. Visitors can now enjoy flexible access without locking into a longhorn plan.
The pass will be available from May 2, giving swimmers a more affordable way to visit Vienna's many pools. Prices are set at €48.60 for adults, €36.60 for young people, and €16.80 for children. The scheme aims to make regular swimming more accessible.
Among the pools included are well-known spots like Bundesbad Alte Donau, Gänsehäufel, and Ottakringerbad. Other major sites such as Kongreßbad, Laaerbergbad, Schafsbergbad, and Stadionbad are also part of the network. The city operates numerous facilities, though the exact total remains unspecified.
For those who prefer early morning swims, online advance tickets are now on sale. This lets lap swimmers book ahead and avoid peak crowds. Additionally, from May onwards, visitors can load up to 20 entries at once onto a stored-value card. This option adds convenience for frequent users.
The new monthly pass provides a cost-effective way to use Vienna's public pools without long-term contracts. With prices tailored for different age groups, the scheme encourages more people to swim regularly. The stored-value card and online booking further simplify access for both casual and dedicated swimmers.
