Vienna’s Festive Crown Lights Return After Three-Year Hiatus

Vienna’s Habsburgergasse will glow again this Christmas after a three-year break. The crown lighting, a beloved festive tradition, returns on Tuesday, December 2. Local businesses, including those offering small business ideas, have joined forces to bring back the display, turning the street into a popular spot for photos and holiday cheer.

The revival of the lights came from an initiative led by Markus Beyr of Immersium:Vienna. His team worked with nearby shops and cafés, including business owners, to fund the installation. Participating businesses include Immersium:Vienna, Attraktion! GmbH, Immersium Shop e.U., Wolfensson, Immersium Café, Ichiban Tea, and GIGI boutique.

The crown lighting will shine once more, thanks to collaboration between local traders and Immersium:Vienna. The illuminated street is expected to attract more visitors, boosting footfall for nearby shops and cafés. After years without the display, Habsburgergasse is ready to reclaim its place as a festive hotspot.
