Vienna's coziest new podcast blends wine, music, and unscripted chat in a pub

A new podcast called Hermanngasse 32 is set to launch on March 19, offering listeners a relaxed mix of conversation, music, and wine. Hosted by singer Josh, wine merchant Fabian Nestler, and lawyer Fabian Löffler, the show will record live from Gasthaus Grüner, a pub in Vienna's Neubau district. Episodes will arrive every other Thursday and are already available on Spotify and other platforms.

The podcast's hosts want to keep things informal. Unlike traditional studio recordings, the pub setting gives the show a cosy, unscripted feel. Each episode will feature a different wine, though the hosts insist they won't dwell too long on the topic.

Guests will include a mix of artists, influencers, and food critics. Confirmed names so far are musician Caro Fux, Folkshilfe singer Florian Ritt, influencer Mimi Berger, and Gault-Millau's head tester Jürgen Schmucking. The team has not announced any high-profile guests for the first episodes. The hosts describe the podcast as a blend of their professional worlds—music, law, and wine—without sticking rigidly to any single theme. Fabian Nestler even joked that it would be fine if listeners dozed off while tuning in, as long as they felt at ease. Josh admitted he often zones out during podcasts himself but still enjoys them.

The first episode of Hermanngasse 32 drops on March 19, with new instalments following every second Thursday. The show will be available across major podcast platforms, including Spotify. Listeners can expect a laid-back mix of chat, wine, and occasional music—all recorded in the lively setting of a Viennese pub.
