Vibrant Auditory Experience Thrives in Miami
In the heart of Miami, the Gale Hotel has recently unveiled a state-of-the-art sound system across its five restaurants, thanks to a collaboration between Designer Digital Systems and Interlink Group. The audio system project, developed by SoundCraft Solutions, was designed to cater to the hotel's bustling dining scene, especially for parties that demand high Sound Pressure Levels (SPL). To meet this requirement, Designer Digital Systems chose LEA Professional amplifiers for their performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. The company deployed 13 Connect Series 704 amplifiers for the project, each providing 700 watts per channel and supporting Hi-Z (70V or 100V) selectable by channel. This versatility allowed for the seamless integration of a variety of speakers from major brands, as planned by Bruce J. Alaimo, owner of Designer Digital Systems. The 9th floor of the Gale Hotel Miami offers three restaurants with stunning views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline. Eight CS704 amplifiers power these restaurants, providing a combined 22,400 watts at 70V. On the ground floor, five CS704 amplifiers were installed in the mezzanine MDF room, delivering 14,000 watts at 70V for the restaurants on the first floor. The Connect Series is equipped with LEA Cloud, enabling AV teams to remotely control and monitor amplifiers from anywhere. This feature proved invaluable during the installation process, as it allowed the team to troubleshoot a drywall installation error that caused a short. Using the Smart Power Bridge technology, they were able to overcome the issue, enabling the team to drive two speakers at 1400 watts at 70V. Designer Digital Systems also praised the flexibility of the full DSP offered by LEA amplifiers for crossover and speaker tuning of all major brands. Bruce J. Alaimo expressed positive feedback about the amplifiers and their tech support team, stating that he plans to use LEA amplifiers in many future projects. The deployment of LEA Professional amplifiers at the Gale Hotel Miami marks a significant step in the evolution of the city's dining scene, providing patrons with an immersive audio experience that complements the stunning views and vibrant atmosphere of the restaurants.
