Vegan Festival in Bremen Vegesack on October 6th: Music Performances, Diverse Activities, Kids' Program, and Open-Air Sunday Celebration

On October 6th, 2025, Bremen will come alive with the vibrant energy of its annual Vegetable Festival. This year, the event will see a unique collaboration with BioCity Bremen, promising a day filled with music, interactive activities, and a focus on sustainability.

The festivities will kick off at Sedanplatz, where visitors can expect a bio market featuring local producers such as SolaWi Sophienhof Hofladen, Hofladen Reichwald, mySolarFuture, Gaertnerhof Oldendorf & Solawi Oldendorf e.V., Landwirtschaftskammer Bremen, EWS Schoenau, frischeKISTE, Bauhof Wohnimpuls GmbH & Co. KG, and Furth Hof.

Music lovers can look forward to a variety of performances. The Neo-Soul band Soulrenders will take the stage around 4:45 pm, infusing soul, funk, and African rhythms into the festive atmosphere. For those who appreciate traditional skiffle pieces and oldies from the 60s and 70s, the Sundown Skifflers will perform twice, at 11:30 am and 2 pm. The day will culminate with the energetic beats of the Soulrenders.

Children will find plenty to keep them entertained, with games and activities planned throughout the day. Jumping castles, trampolines, and face painting will be available at Botschafter-Duckwitz-Platz (Small Market) and Reeder-Bischoff-Straße.

For those interested in sustainability, there will be interactive workshops and informative stands. The Sea Shepherds will be on hand to share insights about their work, while the Hafen Revue Theater will host a quiz show. Acrobat Jens Ohle will perform along the shopping mile, adding a touch of excitement to the day.

The ADFC bike flea market will take place from 11 am to 2 pm, offering a chance to browse and buy second-hand bikes. Visitors can also register their bikes at [www.touren-termine.adfc.de].

For those seeking a break from the bustle, the pop-up store in the former Schuhhaus Nordenholz will offer second-hand clothing and workshop offers. The NABU business center will also provide an opportunity to make beeswax cloths and shopping bags.

The pedestrian zone will be open from 11 am to 6 pm, with shops along the shopping mile offering special deals and current autumn collections during Sunday shopping from 1 to 6 pm.
