Trace Launches No-Code AR Platform to Replace Adobe Aero and Meta Spark

Trace, a startup founded by former Magic Leap employees, is launching a no-code AR platform to fill the gap left by the discontinuation of Adobe Aero and Meta Spark AR. The platform allows users to create interactive AR experiences without technical expertise and publish them across various devices and AR glasses.

Trace's platform supports a range of features for AR content creation, including location-based scenes, image anchors, collision detection, and depth sensing. The platform consists of a mobile app for content creation, a web-based studio for project management, and a viewer for experiencing AR content.

Trace Studio, the central hub for managing scenes, projects, teams, and assets, supports drag-and-drop organization and collaboration. The Trace Creator App enables users to place 3D models, videos, text, and custom avatar recordings into real-world environments. The Trace Viewer App lets users experience published AR content and supports iOS, Android, Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest, and Microsoft HoloLens 2 devices.

Trace is aimed at a broad audience, including individuals, artists, and businesses. Early corporate adopters include T-Mobile, Telefónica, Qualcomm, Lenovo, and Deutsche Telekom. Trace is offering former Adobe Express and Meta Stock users three months of free Premium access to ease the transition.

Trace's no-code AR platform fills a gap in the market for accessible AR creation tools. With a wide range of features and support for various devices, Trace is poised to attract a broad audience of users and businesses. The platform's ease of use and free access for former Adobe Express and Meta Stock users make it an attractive option for AR content creators.
