Timberland and Stanley 1913 lead the charge in sustainable take-back programs

Timberland has launched a take-back program, aiming to have a net positive impact on nature by 2030. The program encourages customers to return used products, with Stanley 1913 and other brands following suit, offering discounts and donations for recycling initiatives.

Timberland's 2021 program allows customers to send back used merchandise via the Stanley 1913 website, generating a pre-paid shipping label or QR code. Stanley 1913 offers a $5 discount on new purchases for each eligible item returned, accepting up to four items per individual annually. Additionally, for each item returned, PMI WW Brands donates $5 to Ocean Conservancy.

The North Face has expanded its secondhand program, enabling customers to return pre-owned items online and in stores for store credit. Similarly, Crocs' Old Crocs New Life program allows customers to drop off used footwear in stores for a discount. Patagonia, since 2005, has been extending the life of its products through its Common Threads garment recycling program.

These take-back programs by Timberland, Stanley 1913, The North Face, Crocs, and Patagonia promote sustainability and encourage customers to participate in recycling initiatives. By returning used products, customers can contribute to environmental conservation efforts and benefit from discounts or store credit.
