Tilth Alliance Opens 2026 Soil & Water Stewardship Program Applications
The Tilth Alliance is now accepting applications for its 2026 Soil & Water Stewardship Program. This initiative invites King County residents eager to deepen their knowledge of local ecosystems and community food systems. Over 200 participants have already completed the common app in previous years, gaining skills in sustainable land and water management.
The seven-month program runs from March to October, featuring one online and one in-person session each month. Topics covered include soil health, water conservation, regenerative landscape design, food equity, waste management, ecological restoration, and Native Sciences. Participants will also take part in hands-on projects, such as installing garden beds, constructing composting systems, designing rainwater catchment setups, using bioremediation techniques, and planting culturally relevant crops.
The program welcomes adults of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, and orientations who are committed to local environmental work and community involvement. To support accessibility, a limited number of stipends are available to help with costs like transportation or childcare.
Applications must be submitted by 3 March to be considered for the 2026 cohort.
Successful applicants will join a growing network of over 200 trained stewards in King County. The program equips participants with practical skills to improve local ecosystems and food systems. Those interested can apply online before the deadline.
