Thousands Join 'Clean Kazakhstan' Action, Planting Trees and Cleaning Up
In a nationwide effort to preserve nature, thousands of residents in Almaty region joined the 'Clean Kazakhstan' action. The event saw over 67,000 people participate in cleanup events and tree planting initiatives.
The 'Clean Kazakhstan' action, launched earlier this year, has gained significant momentum. So far, over 200 cleanup events have been held in the region, with over 600,000 people taking part. The initiative has resulted in the collection of over 8,700 tons of waste and the planting of nearly 80,000 saplings. Over 55 parks and squares have been landscaped as part of the effort.
The Almaty region's Akim, Marat Sultanгазиев, joined the action, emphasizing the importance of caring for nature. He was joined by business representatives, industrial enterprises, and public organizations. Children from the Support Center for Special Social Services also participated, planting trees and learning about sapling care. Various tree species were planted, including turanga, maples, linden, and poplar. In Konaev, mass tree planting continues with plans to plant 300 more saplings.
The President of Kazakhstan also joined the nationwide tree planting, stressing the importance of personal contribution to preserving nature. The board members of public organizations in the Almaty area also participated, though specific details about their involvement are not available.
The 'Clean Kazakhstan' action has made significant strides in preserving nature.
