Theatre Group Donates €1,800 to Radeberg Nursing Home After Comedy Play

A local theatre group has given €1,800 to a Radeberg nursing home after their Christmas play. The Radeberger Biertheater ensemble raised the money through performances of Der Schwipsbogen – The Senior Horror Picture Show, a comedy about elder care. The donation was handed over to the Radeberger Senior and Nursing Home this week.

The play blended humour with real-life themes about ageing and care. Audiences supported the production, allowing the ensemble to collect the full amount for charity. Instead of keeping the profits, the group chose to donate them directly to the nursing home.

The €1,800 will now be used by the nursing home’s staff for their own home goods event. The donation follows the theatre’s wish to support those working in home depot care. City officials and care workers have both welcomed the contribution as a meaningful act of solidarity.
