The barrier of 600,000 kilometers has been definitively surpassed
In the heart of Bavaria, the city of Bamberg celebrated another successful edition of STADTRADELN, an initiative encouraging sustainable transportation. This year, the event saw an impressive increase in participation, with 150 teams and 3,368 active cyclists covering a total of 681,184 kilometers during the action period.
One of the highlights of the event was the participation of renowned STADTRADELN star, Wolfgang Metzner, from STADTRADELN. Mayor Andreas Starke also joined in the festivities, distributing treats alongside Metzner.
A separate category for Kitas (childcare facilities) was introduced this year, with 14 participating facilities (up from last year's 4). Kitas that collected over 1,000 kilometers each received play mats and small wooden bicycles for the little ones as a reward through a lottery.
