Texas A&M-Victoria Names Christian Hardigree as Its First President
Christian Hardigree has been named the first president of Texas A&M University-Victoria. The appointment was confirmed by the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents on October 10, 2023. She steps into the role amid recent leadership changes and ongoing debate over her background.
The Victoria campus became part of the Texas A&M system in September 2023, following its transfer from the University of Houston System. With around 3,500 students, it is now the 12th campus under Texas A&M.
