Swiss Pumpkin Championships: Florian Isler Breaks Own Record With 766kg Giant

The 12th Swiss Pumpkin and Vegetable Weighing Championships concluded recently, with a new record set for the heaviest pumpkin. Florian Isler from Esslingen, Zurich, took the top spot with an Atlantic Giant pumpkin weighing an impressive 766 kilograms.

Isler's victory surpassed his own previous record of 727.5 kilograms, which he achieved in 2024. This year's second place went to the same competitor, Florian Isler, with a pumpkin weighing 728.5 kilograms. Sergio Lima Torres from Konolfingen, Bern, took the third position with a pumpkin weighing 485.5 kilograms.

The winning pumpkin was a variety known as Squash, and its immense weight has set a new benchmark for the Swiss competition.

The 2025 championships saw a remarkable feat, with Florian Isler not only retaining his title but also breaking his own record. The heaviest pumpkin in Switzerland now stands at 766 kilograms, a testament to Isler's dedication and the potential of the Atlantic Giant variety.
