SWEG expands leisure bus routes with bike shuttles and Sunday trips in 2026

SWEG will launch new leisure bus routes from Lahr in early April 2026. The expanded services include weekday connections, Sunday trips, and a bike shuttle for cyclists. All routes will follow the standard fares of the Ortenau Transport Association. The Europa-Park bus line will run daily throughout the year between Lahr and Rust. This route remains unchanged, offering regular access to the popular theme park.

From April 5, 2026, a bike shuttle will operate every Sunday and public holiday until October 25, 2026. It will transport up to 16 bicycles free of charge, with stops at Geisberg and Schönberg.

Another new route will run on Sundays and holidays, connecting Lahr to Biberach in the Kinzig Valley via Schönberg. Langenhard will also gain an extra weekday connection, improving transport links in the area.

Passengers can use the Deutschlandticket on all SWEG leisure bus routes. The same fare rules apply as with other Ortenau Transport Association services. The new services begin in early April 2026, offering more travel options for tourists and locals. The bike shuttle, Sunday routes, and weekday connections aim to improve accessibility across the region. All trips will follow the existing fare system, including the Deutschlandticket.
