On a sunny Saturday, the bustling Dorotheen quarter of Stuttgart came alive with the 22nd edition of the "Sterne des Südens" event. This local, free-entry market festival attracted a multitude of people, eager to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and various activities on offer.

At the heart of the celebration, Bakery Frank was busy with children decorating animal-shaped cookies in honour of World Children's Day. The festivities were further enhanced by the music of DJane Alegra Cole, who provided the perfect atmosphere for the day.

The festival was not just a celebration of community, but also a time for milestones. Café List, a popular spot in the area, celebrated its anniversary with a tombola benefiting the Galgo Hilfe association. Across the street, a speech therapy practice was also marking a significant year.

The folk festival countdown was running, and the excitement was palpable. DJ Robin added to the anticipation with a new song at the festival. A group from a German language course was also present, making the most of the lively environment.

Elsewhere, Marcel Müller, the café's owner and manager, was enjoying the day with his former neighbours Benedikt and Katrin, who had returned to the neighbourhood with their two-year-old child for the street festival. Sanija, Umit Balci, and their son Sofyen were also enjoying a moment of respite at a table in the shade.

Some festival-goers were particularly grateful for the warm weather, as it was the last time they would experience such temperatures for the year. At At Bei Grieshaber Real Estate, Eros Ramazzotti's "Più Bella Cosa" played, adding to the festive mood.

The event was a collaborative effort between the Dorotheen quarter and the market hall, ensuring a lively and engaging experience for all. Meanwhile, Vice-chief Werner Reinis and Daniel Seiler were spotted at the well-visited Palast der Republik, adding to the overall buzz of the day.

As the sun began to set, the "Sterne des Südens" continued to shine, bringing together the community and creating memories that will last until next year's celebration.
